Colorado Springs, Here We Come!

We headed to Colorado Thursday Morning, June 29th.  We decided to bring one of our cars. We discovered it was well worth it. It gave us time to relax and think about all of the things we had learned during the seminar. As well as giving us time to get to know and see the beauty of the state of Colorado!

We were so excited to reach the Colorado State Line!

We didn't want it to be just a blur from the car so we stopped and took photos. 💕

Grand Junction!

The Colorado River!

As we drove east the scenery got greener ...

...more adveturous... River rafters...at spots there were also zip lines zig zagging back and forth across the river and rapids...

...and the elevations got higher...we are used to living at sea level ...Chino Hills is at about 600ft elevation... at one point the sign said we were at over 10,000ft.

This definitely looks like a Castle Rock to me! We just crossed into the northern most city of our Mission. Castlerock! We were overcome by emotion...

We're officially here!

We were greeted at the door with balloons and "We Love You" sticky notes.

At first we thought it was for the Rehm's but discovered it was for us. Thank you Sweet, Thoughtful, Loving Sister Missionaries. What a wonderful surprise! ❤️❤️❤️😊

The Mission Office, us, the Assistants and President and Sister Rehm.

The Stevenson's and the Rehm's

The Mission office...the Assistant's, and the Senior Couple Missionaries that will be serving with us. It was such a pleasure to meet them.

Friday evening the moving company arrived with our things. Our First P-Day...Saturday
morning....unpacking...

Did I really bring this much stuff?

I just wanted a few things that would remind us of home...and I need my embroidery machine to make Baptism Towels for the grandkids.

Luckily, this is mostly clothes, shoes, and bedding and the closets are large with lots of drawers and shelves.

Where will I put ieverything??? The kitchen cupboards are completely full and stocked. ...Whew! It was not  quite as much stuff as it looked like.

😅...luckily, the tops, middles and bottoms of the boxes had tones of paper, the moving company didn't want anything to arrive broken.

This tiny little jar was wrapped in about 10 sheets of paper 😂. So happy it arrived safe and sound... it was a gift from a friend in Chino Hills ... but the wrapping was really over kill....
