Jubilee is a tradition in our mission that we are very excited to continue. When the Missionaries reach the half way point of their mission (9 months for sisters, 1 year for elders) They get to spend a day in the Denver Colorado Temple. (the Temple is just slightly out of our mission boundaries so we had to get permission.)
There were 25 Missionaries in the group...we caravanned there in 4 Vehicles...first we stopped at Costa Vida for lunch...

This photo was taken by one of our Elders...he was down on the ground and captured the gardens and the Angel Moroni on the top of the Temple.

And then arrived at the gorgeous Denver Temple. Elder Beier brought his tripod and took group photos for us.
Our lone two sisters in the group. They were MTC companions.

and us with our two sisters...
The workers in the temple took such tender care of us and were very gracious even with such a large group. We preformed baptisms. confirmations, initiatories, and participated in an endowment session. It was such a great day.
You can tell it's late afternoon in Colorado
...when the clouds turn grey. Time for our afternoon showers.
Then back to the Mission Home for a dinner....
(President Stevenson's distant cousin)
Sr. Cordova had everything all ready for us.
After diner we retired downstairs for recording their thoughts in Journals,
and a testimony Meeting. After reviewing some scriptures together we left them alone to set goals for the second halves of their mission.
Stole this idea from my older brother when he was a mission president in Ghana. If they commit to the goals they set for themselves, they sign my "finish strong" shirt. We loved one of the goals that this group set: 100% retention for themselves. That is: THEY would faithfully complete their entire mission and then remain active in the Church for the rest of their lives. President told them in 40 years when he's 98 years old he wants an accounting of their stewardship for this goal!!!
